Hexa Tap Endless Guide: Surviving Level 8 and Up, Plus Today's Course Ranking
From level 8, Hexa Tap becomes endless. Ice spreads faster and the board keeps shrinking. How long you last is your score. New to the game? Start with How to play Hexa Tap.
👉 Play Hexa Tap (free, no download)
1. Score "all at once", not "a lot"
Each popped chip is worth 10 points, and several chains in one move add a multiplier. Popping big chains in one go beats popping a few chips often by a wide margin.
Tip: build two or three cells with eight or nine of a color, and stack so the color hidden underneath matches a neighbor's top. Pop one and the rest follow.
2. Deal with ice early
Ice takes two hits from level 5, and from level 8 it spreads faster as levels climb. It only cracks when chips pop right next to it.
- Pick a "popping cell" next to the ice. Every pop there chips away at it.
- When it cracks you'll see "One more pop!". One more pop beside it and it's gone.
- Two or three ice cells in a row shrink the board fast. Clear each one as soon as it appears.
3. Empty cells are your lifeline
The game ends when the board is full. To last:
- Don't mix colors in one cell. A different color underneath locks that cell for a while.
- Look at all three tray blocks before placing. Leave room for the next block, not just this one.
- On move-limited levels every unused move is worth 20 points, so cut the "anywhere" placements.
4. Climbing today's course ranking
Endless now competes on today's course. Every run started that day deals the same chip order, and your best run of the day counts.
- Post with just a nickname on the result screen. The server replays the run to confirm the score.
- You can end early with "Finish this run" and still post the score so far.
- Runs that used undo are practice and don't rank. Zero-point runs don't either.
- The chip order stays the same all day, so play once, then place better in the same spots next run.
Also
If colors are hard to tell apart, turn on Color-blind mode in settings for a shape on every color.
Of the 12 achievements, "Chain addict" (4 chains in one move) and "Hexa six grand" (6,000 in one run) are easiest to chase in endless.
