This notice applies to the portal at bbeol.com, www.bbeol.com and game.bbeol.com. Games running at separate addresses have their own notices.

Nickname storage

Your optional nickname is stored in localStorage in the current browser. A guest nickname does not require an account. Password sign-in is not supported. Clear it with the nickname delete button or your browser’s site-data settings. Stored data does not automatically move between addresses or browsers.

Game links carry your nickname as a URL parameter, so it may appear in browser history and requests to the game server. Use an alias rather than a real name, email address or phone number. Guest nicknames are not stored in an account database. If you sign in, your account nickname is stored as described below.

Optional social accounts

If you sign in with Google, NAVER or Kakao, we store the provider, its unique user ID, your shared email if available, and your chosen nickname. We do not store social names, photos, phone numbers or passwords, and do not merge accounts by email.

Sessions use Secure, HttpOnly cookies inaccessible to JavaScript. The server stores a session-token hash and expiry, not the raw token. By default, a session cookie is used with a maximum server lifetime of 12 hours. Browser session restoration may retain it after reopening. Only an explicit choice on the sign-in screen enables a 7-day cookie. This choice is recorded with the session; sign out to remove it at any time. Pending login checks expire after 10 minutes. Social access and refresh tokens are used during login only and are not retained.

Signing in updates the browser nickname from your account. Sign out or delete your account in My account. Deletion removes account data and server sessions, while local nicknames and game records remain until separately cleared. Manage the social service’s app consent with that provider.

Bbeol Coin wallet

The first time you receive coins or buy an item in the Bbeol Coin shop, a guest wallet is created for this browser without signing in. It is identified by a Secure, HttpOnly cookie (up to 400 days) that scripts cannot read, and the server stores only a hash of it. The wallet records rewards and purchased items, not your name or contact details. Coins have no cash value. Signing in merges this browser’s guest wallet into your account and removes the guest cookie; deleting your account deletes the wallet. Number Pop, Make Ten and Paper Flight send requests with this cookie to bbeol.com to use the same wallet.

Game rankings

Posting to a ranking, such as Number Pop’s daily leaderboard or Paper Flight’s Daily Wind, is optional. It stores your nickname, result and a random cookie that identifies this browser on that game’s server. Paper Flight Daily Wind and Make Ten Daily Puzzle entries are deleted after 30 days. You can delete your own entries from each ranking screen. For badges and rank bonuses on the Today’s Rankings page, the wallet of the browser you ranked in is linked to a per-game pseudonymous player value that is never shown to others. Please use an alias rather than your real name or contact details.

Visit statistics and hosting

We collect home-page views and time spent with the page active. An IP address and browser information are used to derive a daily visitor identifier; the portal statistics store keeps this identifier rather than the original IP address. Events are retained for 7 days. Nicknames are not included in these events.

Advertising cookies

Google and other third-party advertising providers may use cookies to serve ads based on visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads based on those visits.

Your choices
